شهدت عاصمة بنغلاديش، دكا، جدلاً كبيراً بسبب الملايين من الملصقات الدعائية المغلفة بالبلاستيك، والتي جرى إعدادها للإنتخابات البلديّة في المدينة التي أجريت، السبت.

وأثارت هذه الملصقات التي يقدر عددها بـ304 ملايين، حفيظة أنصار البيئة، الذين طالبوا بإزالتها. وخلال الأسبوع الماضي، أمرت المحكمة العليا، بوقف إنتاج الملصقات المغلفة بالبلاستيك وعرضها والتخلص منها.

ورغم ذلك، فإن الملصقات بالأبيض والأسود ما زالت تنتشر في شوارع وحدائق العاصمة المزدحمة التي يقطنها 18 مليون شخص. ويحتوي كل ملصق على حوالى غرامين من بلاستيك البولي بروبيلين.

وفي السياق، أشار حسين شهريار، من منظمة البيئة والتنمية الإجتماعية، إلى أن “المواد البلاستيكية غير قابلة للتحلل ولا يمكن إعادة تدويرها”.

بدوره، قال الناشط البيئي شريف جميل أن “هذه الملصقات سينتهي بها المطاف في المجاري والأنهار، وإذا تم إحراقها فستلوث الهواء”، موضحاً أن “هذه الملصقات تحتاج إلى 400 عام لتتحلل”.
